Weighing in on Cancer Prevention

Cancer PreventionFebruary 4th has been declared World Cancer Day - a day to promote global awareness of cancer prevention. Lucky for us, we have our own in-house expert, Dr. David McLean, head of BC Cancer Agency’s Prevention Programs who is featured in a 7-part series on cancer prevention in our quarterly magazine, Vim & Vigour.

In our Spring 2010 issue, Dr. McLean discusses the role of obesity in cancer and prevention efforts to address the problem. How does excess body fat cause cancer and how is the BC Cancer Agency addressing this obesity epidemic? Read the full article to find answers to these questions.
