Lifestyles Lottery over 60% sold
October 09, 2003, Vancouver, BC - The BC Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce that over 60% of the 121,000 tickets available for the BC Cancer Foundation Lifestyles Lottery have been sold!
"This is terrific! Over 60% of the tickets have been sold! With only one week until the early bird deadline this will be a very busy week. I urge all those who have not yet participated in this year's lottery to act now and get a ticket before the earlybird deadline," says Mary McNeil, president & CEO of the BC Cancer Foundation.
Proceeds (projected at over $4 million) will go to the BC Cancer Foundation to support research at the BC Cancer Agency – the cancer control body for British Columbia. BC Cancer Agency scientists are speeding towards the discovery of new knowledge that will help us unlock the mysteries of cancer. The BC Cancer Agency delivers care through a number of programs and centres throughout the province, including centres in Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Southern Interior and Fraser Valley.
The Grand Prize Lifestyle Showcase is worth over $2.8 million. One lucky winner will receive a fully furnished, 7,610 sq. ft. showhome in Vancouver. This package comes complete with a 2004 BMW X5 and $25,000 cash!

If all tickets are sold before Early Bird cut-off, Midnight, October 16, then all 6,055 prizes will be drawn October 30, 2003.
