BC Cancer Foundation Lifestyles Lottery 2006
returns to Bear Mountain

August 14, 2006, Victoria, B.C - The BC Cancer Foundation announced today the launch of its annual BC Cancer Foundation Lifestyles Lottery at the Bear Mountain grand prize showhome.

“The BC Cancer Foundation is thrilled to present our sixth annual Lifestyles Lottery,” said Foundation president and CEO Mary McNeil. “Once again we’ve got a spectacular Grand Prize Showcase at Bear Mountain, along with all the other 4,605 prizes. You really don’t want to miss out.”

Grand Prize Island includes a luxurious mountainside retreat at Bear Mountain Resort & Spa, boasting spectacular views of Victoria. The home will be awarded fully furnished, professionally decorated and landscaped, and comes with a 2007 Audi A3 and $25,000 cash.

Beginning August 14th, households across B.C. will receive a lottery brochure in the mail with a map to the Bear Mountain showhome, which is open for viewing beginning Saturday, August 19th. Details on showhome hours can be found online at www.LifestylesLottery.com.

The Grand Prize Mainland in Vancouver is valued at over $2.2 million. It features a fully-furnished, professionally-decorated and landscaped classic mansion in the city’s exclusive Shaughnessy neighbourhood. This showcase features an indoor spa retreat, a deluxe outdoor barbeque kitchen and comes complete with the all-new 2007 BMW 525i plus $25,000 cash. The showhome is open for viewing daily from August 19th. The third Grand Prize package is a ski condo at Silver Star Mountain Resort in the Okanagan Valley. There are 4,605 amazing prizes in total, including exciting vehicles, exotic vacations, weekend getaways and much more.

The BC Cancer Foundation Lifestyles Lottery is expected to raise more than $2.5 million this year, which will be directed exclusively towards cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency, including the BC Cancer Agency’s Trev & Joyce Deeley Research Centre in Victoria.

Only 115,000 tickets are available, at $100 each, 3-packs for $250 and new this year, 5- packs for $400, which can be purchased at the BC Cancer Foundation, the BC Cancer Agency, at all retailers listed in the lottery brochure or by calling 1-866-939-5508 anywhere in B.C.
