Cancer affects all of us, and everyone's story is unique. Our family of BC Cancer Foundation supporters throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands is diverse. We'd like to share some of their creative and inspiring stories here.

A Donor's Personal Story
Almost a decade ago, following an annual medical exam, David Smith was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Thanks to the cutting-edge treatment he received at the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria, David is now an active volunteer and advocate for BC Cancer Foundation. (read more)

Cancer Care Closer to Home
“TeleCare” means that patients from up-island confer with specialists in Victoria via teleconferencing. The patient, rather than traveling to Victoria, can take their appointment from their home healthcare facility and consult with an oncologist in Victoria. (read more)
